What Did You Last Eat Thread


On a trip to the Asian Supermarket to top up in a few ingredients I found a cracking looking curry flavour instant noodle bowl at an introductory offer of 89p. Well I thought that'll do lunch.

Colour me shocked that it tasted like it was 89p. There was actually a taste of Styrofoam off them which from years of making curries, I've never experienced. So come 3:30 I'll pour a cuppa and break out a Crunchie to get me through to Dinner.

I know, I was actually saying I wanted to open a proper fish and chip restaurant here.

The issue I've had when trying others is that the fish never seems right. A bit too mushy. Seafood in general is great here but whatever they're trying to use for fish and chips just isn't cutting it. I wonder if it's a problem getting the right stuff.

Definitely need to look into it properly because I reckon there's a potential market if they're done right. Has to be plenty like myself that want some decent ones

Also getting fresh Northern Atlantic fish IE Cod,Haddock and the likes would probably prove very costly and might not be in the best nick once it hits your plate.

But we live in world now wherr nothing is out of the question... I'll keep my eye out for the Fish and Chip boom in Korea.
