it's from the sea tough right ? these were cuban land crabs that only go to the water to lay eggs.
just googled them, they live in the forest and cant swim, they drown if they fall into water, they head to the beach, lay eggs, the eggs hatch immediately and the little crabs head straight for the forest.

You get huge crab migrations at certain times in Cuba, but as a general rule they will always be close to the sea, river or water source*. I had some Crab dish there once cooked by a local guy who uses his house as a restaurant and it was amazing, mixed in with loads of herbs and stuff.

* With thanks to some nature documentary.

i reckon fresh crab beats lobster, cray fish is also fine, had loads of that in n.z. there was a place called kaikora which in moari means feast of crayfish, it's where you always see the humpbacks on tv too as they go there to shag.

Nice.

Id love to visit New Zealand and I love fish. This means something.

Lobster is over priced in most parts of the world but when its cooked right its lovely, just not £80 lovely.

they started to use nz fish over here to try to cut down on cod consumption, most of it is delicious, a lot of the chippy's there are fish mongers as well so you can pick from loads, and the bags of chips are enormous. they eat sea snails too "paua".

on the cod topic, when we played brann away i was reading a mag in oslo airport and it was talking about skree fishing where after cod go into the fjordds to breed and lay eggs, they catch the very young codling as they head back out to sea. surely this is vastly reducing the number of cod, if they laid off for a year even then there'd be more for our chippy's.

I was into the choluha hot sauce when i was in USA and brought a bottle home very tasty. If your talking about fish can you get Barramundi its bloody lovely had it last night, and at the moment i am getting stuck into a Turkey sandwich.
