Just listening to Turnstile you can tell Brendan likes that sort of stuff.
Its like elevator music to me but if it gets more people listening to Turnstile then I'm all for it.

it took about two years of married life for my western ears to become attuned to Arabic music. The best way in, I was told, was to concentrate on one instrument at a time, beginning with the qanun (or kanun). This example is played by the brilliant London-based Syrian, Maya Youssef.

Saw them Saturday night. Was never a huge fan - decent enough, like - but was very impressed. Sounded great. New singer was great and they were a tight band. Thoroughly enjoyed them!
He was on Mortimer and Whitehouse - Gone Fishing too.
He`s a big campaigner for clean rivers.
