He`s a great song writer.

His Beautiful South stuff is poetic, witty, sarcastic and always favours the under dog.

I`ve seen them live a few times and they`re always good, plus he takes the piss big time.

They`ll be recognised in the future as being a great band.

He is amazingly not academic at all and his lyrics, which are so clever IMO, come from watching live bands and life experiences.
