Silent Alarm is a great album, pity they never even got close to following it up properly. Some of their later stuff makes my ears bleed ffs.

I'll be honest, outside of Banquet and Helicopter I'd struggle to name anything else on that album

I like those songs but the rest was kind of forgettable

"Like Eating Glass", "Blue Light", "This Modern Love" and "So Here We Are "are all good songs too mate. There's not a bad song on the whole album. Probably in my top 15 or so albums of all time. Think I'll give it a spin today actually.

Just seen that Four Tet has done a remix of" So Here We Are" that I didn't know existed. Is right.

I agree, it's so good. Still sounds modern.

They've got decent songs, don't get me wrong, it's just not my cup of tea.

But that is probably their strongest period, agreed.

Just watched, for the 2nd time, the first dvd I ever bought. Pink Floyd's the wall. Absolutely stunning. They don't make music like that anymore. I have a worry though that all the teenagers in the crowd scenes will be in their 50s now.
