Never heard of herWhat's the point of the BBC sound of award? My understanding is that it's meant to give a leg up to emerging artists but they've just named Chappell Roan as this year's winner. She's already one of the most popular artists in the world. Two previous Mercury Award winners in the top 5 too.
Yep Dyche had "dry your eyes mate " on repeatJust listened to the whole album again driving back from Liverpool. An hour well spent.

Because it's you Fred and I like you so much I checked her out . "Hot to go" . Must admit it's hilarious but I suspect it's not supposed to make me laugh.Nor me,
Haha. She's absolutely brilliant Jazz. Not normally a lover of modern pop but I absolutely love her. No 2 on my Spotify and YouTube playlist both this year and last. You've somehow managed to check out the one song of hers I don't like. But I'm not going to recommend anything else. We've been down that road before.Because it's you Fred and I like you so much I checked her out . "Hot to go" . Must admit it's hilarious but I suspect it's not supposed to make me laugh.
Honestly reminded me of a young Victoria Wood ( not in looks) doing a spoof of a pop star.
Delighted that I'm ignorant of the modern pop scene.
Yeah whatever ( getting down with kids here Fred ) as long as you are having a great time in SA.Haha. She's absolutely brilliant Jazz. Not normally a lover of modern pop but I absolutely love her. If you like Lady Gaga, Pink or early Katy Perry you'll probably like her mate. But she's grown in popularity so quickly during 2024. She's gone from playing nightclubs last Autumn to playing to 100k + crowds at US festivals this summer. She's heading Reading/Leeds this year but I think she'll have her second album out by then.Me neither![]()
