What about West Brom?

It's struck me over the last month or so, that all the talk is of us coming fourth and really contending for honours this season, yet no one is talking about West Brom.

The only team this season to make us look ordinary, they are below us only on goal difference. Another very solid win away to Wigan yesterday and still I haven't heard their name and the champions league mentioned together. So why not?

We are enjoying unprecedented media attention and hype right now. We seem to be the new "favourite" of the neutral on both the stands and in the news rooms. In previous years we revelled in being dark horses etc, but right now I'm sure the West Brom boss and players are delighted that no ones mentioned their name once this season.

So can they come fourth?

I'm my opinion, they have as much chance as us. They are quietly dangerous, and very hard to beat. If we don't do it, I would absolutely love it if they did.

Having a really good run, Olssen is an awesome centre back. They don't have the depth of quality to sustain it though

They have fared quite well since Hodgson and I wouldn't be surprised if they'll reach European places this season. Then again you have solid mid-table teams like Fulham that could be the same. With the table being relatively tight, you basically have the top 10 of the table all possible contenders for CL with West Ham and Newcastle having a game in hand.

They only made us look ordinary after Gibson got injured, but all the best to them. They are a bit underrated.

Think they'll get found out eventually, but they're a very well-drilled, decent side. I rate Steve Clarke, it makes me do a LOL that the shabs could've had him but went for David Brentdan instead. I think their days of yo-yoing are over.

Fulham look very decent this season, too.

They have about 1% less of a chance of finishing fourth. As we have a 1% chance.

But yeah, I was thinking about this. They're a worse team than us on paper but they've had, points wise, as successful a season so far and yet they're receiving little acclaim. Fair play to them -- Clarke is doing a fine job and they did a number on us. But also tonked the sh*te 3-0 like, so yeah, nice one.
