Walk my shoes, just to see
What it's like, to be me
I'll be you, let's trade shoes
Just to see what I'd be like to
Feel your pain, you feel mine
Go inside each other's mind
Just to see what we find
Look at [Poor language removed] through each other's eyes

I thought the lyrics were :

If I could be you and you could be me for just one hour
If we could find a way to get inside each other’s minds
If you could see you, through my eyes, instead of your ego
I believe you’d be surprised to see that you’d been blind
Walk a mile in my shoes
Walk a mile in my shoes
And before you abuse
Criticise and accuse
Walk a mile in my shoes
Now the whole world you see around you is just a reflection
And the law of Karma, says you reap, just what you sow
So unless you’ve, lived a life of total perfection
You’d better be careful of every stone that you should throw
And yet we spend the day throwing stones at one another
‘Cause I don’t think or wear my hair the same way you do
Well I may be common people but I’m your brother
And when you strike out and try to hurt me it’s a-hurtin you
There are people on reservations and out in the ghettos
And brother, there but for the grace of God go you and I
If I only, had the wings, of a little angel
Don’t you know I’d fly, to the top of the mountain, and then I’d cry?

Always been partial to Bryan Ferry's version on Another Time, Another Place. (y)

So today we hear that Everton are to go to the Home Office on a wing and a prayer for a work permit for Banega.. all for a season long loan signing!

Dunne to return to Goodison! Bloody Richard Dunne! No!

Robert Huth now favoured over Senderos..???

and Moyes fast going from looking principled to being in denial around the Lescott story..

really can't get my head around why we end up in this desperate and embarrassing situation year after year.. no wonder the team are looking demoralised with this comedy of errors going on.

Seriously what are you crying about?

Every non EU player has to have a work permit applied for. Fridays meeting is for this. Banega is a top argie prospect so i can defo see why Everton pushed a head with him. Theres no wing on a prayer about anything.

As for Robert Huth with the correct management i think he is a good player. For a man who played as a centre back southgate is terrible at coaching them. Morale must have been low at boro.

Remember Huth is regarded highly in Germany as a top defender. For a while it looked like he was going to earn himself a starting spot in their national team.

As for Richard Dunne i admit he is a little old to be bringing in but he is a solid player. I hate this jibe of mistake prone thats bollix really every defender makes mistakes. Its a great partnership between the CB that prevents them.

Come on mate. We should expect better than this. Season after season Everton are seen scrambling around at the eleventh hour for hopeful untried punts, rehabilitated has-beens and make weights.

Banega may be a great talent but if so we should have been ahead of the game and had him in pre-season.

Huth was over hyped when he first landed in the prem.. quickly found out and has been bused around ever since. yeah he may make a decent squad player but he's not the goldmark signing we need to steady the nerves as lescott readies his exit.

"For a while it looked like he was going to earn himself a starting spot in their national team" yup. says it all really.

senderos.. taylor.. huth.. a whiff of desperation here methinks.

As for Dunne.. no. sorry mate, bloody awful player. Big backwards step if he turns up here again.

I'm sorry he's not awful.

apart from the occasional mistake he is a rock in the republic of ireland back four.

Many a big game many an outstanding performance.

Everton fans were always too harsh on him. Walter Smith never helped him he shipped him out at the first sign of trouble. Kevin Keegan takes credit for resurrecting his career. Since then he has been a solid player.

Ok so hes not so fast and sometimes he makes mistakes but still to call him awful shows you know nothing about football.

Man city fans love him. Obviously now they have cash they expect bigger known players long term.

Agree mate. Dunne isn't that bad at all. Just his age is a stumbling block. Still I would like his leadership in a trying time. But we should be courting the Shawcrosses & Turners of the world. Surely they would want to ply their trade with a ex defender like Moyes.

TBH it does not take much to stand out in Ireland's team, goals or not.

See it doesn't matter what international team you play for. If you are a defender and you do your job well against the bigger countries you will be noticed

Or if your a striker and scroe a hat trick against germany italy or holland (you see were im going) people will take notice.

Its not always about standing out from your team mates. The whole team don't have to be world beaters for you to be known about.

George Best is the prime example of a good to world class demographic player playing in a [Poor language removed] international team.
