Parents of a terminally ill child who raised £20k for an operation in the US have given the money to a couple they have never met so their son could get treated instead. Just heard an interview on 5Live between the parents, who have never met. Tear in the eye stuff. Fair play to them.

Jesus, that's bloody brilliant that.

Nice to know that basic human goodness is still alive and well.

I mean, imagine being the parents of either? One have accepted their daughter will not live, and the other gets a call out of the blue effectively giving their son a fighting chance.

Its a lovely gesture but what else were they gonna do with it? Spend it on a new conservatory?

Hi Nik.

Sometimes it's better to say nothing and let people make their own mind up of their opinion of you than to open your mouth and confirm it for them.

Just a little advice.

What an amazing thing to do.

I would like to think I would do the same or similar in that position.
