Root really is a class act, should be moved up the order permanently.

Bringing Trott back in is looking a pretty stupid decision so far, him and Cook are an awful opening pair. Cook has always needed somebody who can get a few quick runs to allow him to bed in and put the bowlers on the back foot.

Mid way during last season Tredwell was no longer getting in the Kent team for county championship games and was 'released' to Sussex to play four day games while staying at Kent for one day cricket. I like Tredwell, being a Kent boy and all that, and he is a decent one day twirler but I just can't see him as a Test player. They took Rashid over there to have another look at him and then pass him up.

His divorce was a mess as well, contributing to him drinking to excess.
He also at times lacks variety in his bowling and pressure sometimes gets to him. His fielding is a joke, and not in a funny way.

When he first came into the team he had variety, tossed it up, but something changed. Prior laughing and absuing him from behind the stumps is not gonna help your confidence like.

The booze and urinating on a bouncer is going to be an issue too lol
