WEST HAM VS MILLWALL!!!

You all think its a joke? You think its funny?

Its discusting.

It's highering ticket prices so the normal higher middle class family can't afford to watch matches for more than 3 times a month because of the ******* police costs.

Like the '70's and '80s all over again..really hoped we'd seen the last of this sort of nonsense

The problem in this country is that the police are not allowed to stop the violence the way it should be dealt with, and that is to leather the idiots fighting. If that was a match in spain, italy or anywere else, the police would smack them round the face with batons, get the hose out and soak the ****s and it would help to stop the riots. If the police did that in england, the hooligans could press charges for assault.

Both clubs should be thrown out the competition for the next couple of years.

Spot on lads. I condemn all violence at football and just dont regard those that get involved has fans of the game. The lot of them are just mindless cowardly morons that can only act hard when in a gang. Ask them for a one on one and they would run a mile. To all Hooligans... stay away from Football and take up Boxing or something, that is after you all go and get an education first.

Well said mate. These mindless idiots have no place in our game. The thing that worries me is that the FA may take action against the clubs which will have no effect on these hooligans, but will impact on the decent supporters of both clubs.

I wouldn't imagine many of the so-called fans outside had tickets or were remotely interested in the actual game....Morons and brought so many memories back of the 80's.....

Exactly mate, no interest whatsoever. Films like Green Street make it seem really 'cool' to be a hooligan. It's moronic. You could have predicted this when the draw was made.

And "The Firm" is out soon on the cinema...... Are people trying to get back to the whole 80's thing.....1st music now footy hoolies......

The police seem a bit ill prepared for all that from what I've seen.

South Yorkshire police are the best in the country for clamping down on all this [Poor language removed], they should've took a note out of their book.

There's a group of 'fans' not too far from where I live that travel down to Plymouth regularly and they wear all this burberry and stone island gear like they do on Football Factory and Green Street. Why someone would go out and spend all that money and clothes to go fighting in is stupid in itself. It's like they are just copying everything they see in the films. They go down there and get tickets right next to the away fans just to antagonise them. They have no interest in the game at all, they don't even watch it. They just spend the entire match facing the away fans and shouting abuse. I went down there to watch Plymouth vs Crewe (Crewe is my hometown) a few years ago and we were getting bottles thrown at us in the car park on the way in!! Crewe won the game so thankfully we got a police escort on the way out. It's ridiculous.

You cant really blame the films IMO. The Football Factory (which is a good film without it being a hooligan film IMO) is based on a book, and the look and style of the characters are taking pretty much from what's already there - ie the hooligans were already wearing the stone island etc and doing all that ladish stuff. Yes, the film probably brought it out to a bigger audience but it still hasnt turned football into a free for all on hooliganism. Last night was pretty much a 1 off since probably 2002.

The Firm is also a remake of the 80's TV special The Firm starring Gary Oldman - again a good film (only about an hour long or so) about Hooligans. The remake looks awful though.

I'm not saying that it's caused a resurgence of the dark days or anything, but there are idiots out there that watch these films and think it's a 'cool' or even honourable thing to do for your club. I realise that hooliganism in football these days is on a very small scale, but it's still there nonetheless.
