WEST BROM GAME

theres quite a few tickets left apparently, sign of the times maybe ?
it's not often that there are aways left on general sale so i'm thinking it'd be worth goin' for the credit, it's quite close but £40 seems a bit steep for a team thats just come up. i do like aways though for the crack but being in an empty away end isnt much of a laugh.

Hopefully 'quite a few' means only a couple of hundred left :P Quite surprising as we only got given 2,800.
Maybe they will sell now there out on general sale.

Not as good going to away games when its abit empty!

There so many tickets left cos of the price- £40 to go to West Brom? Ridiculous. I know of a lot of others who usually go to away games that have drawn the line at this one. £40 to go to united, chelsea or even rs ok - west brom no chance.
It no suprise they cant get a sponsor if they have those kind of demands!

It's because as mentioned, they've took the [Poor language removed] piss with the ticket prices. I resent paying that much to watch Everton play a team of nomarks who've just been promoted but at the same time I couldn't wait to because it's the 1st game of the season

i think it might be more to do with the 'feelgood' factor. ie.. there isn't any. home defeat first game, no signings. it is irritating.

i was thinkin' it was a dear one, but wasn't sure how much they are at other grounds, like i say if your not an every weeker or s.t. holder it can be impossible at times to get away tickets with credits needed, a look at the original eligability criteria confirms this, general sale is quite rare for our aways especially when only 2,800 and quite close to home.
what kind of price is it usually for aways ?
do clubs always charge more for away fans ?
do they offer kids tickets at aways ? £20 is also steep for kids.
i'll bet its cheaper for the england game tonight.

i keep saying football is expensive these days but anyone with a couple of kids will confirm tat almost everything you try to do costs a mint, it seems that with a couple of sprogs it's gonna cost you £100 no matter what you look at doing for a day out.

its getting more expensive as teams are beginning to price us as CAT A games. £40 to watch 2 [Poor language removed] teams flitter away 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw aint worth the time as well as the money for me, usually with this game being so fairly close and such a weak opposition i'd be chomping at the bit to go but this time there are too many factors putting me off. poor performance with affordability a close second. i will be going stoke though.

i cant see stoke goin' to general which is why i need to get some credits, a lot seem to want that one and fair enough you lads who go all over the show get 1st dibs on the tickets, part of my thinking is i need to get some in whenever possible as at the moment i'm always relying on general sale.

I wouldn't say it has more to do with a 'feelgood' factor. As I said before, most people object to the price of the ticket.
If people stop going to the game cos it lacks a feelgood factor then we wouldnt have had the attendances we've had over the past 20 years or so.
I totally agree that we are not in the best of positions at the moment but i think people need to get a reality check- look at us now in comparison to 6 years ago. Who would have said we would be complaining and all doom and gloom if we had had seasons like the past couple?
I'm not saying we should just accept whats happening at the moment and not be ambitious but i can't help feeling some people- i'm not saying yourself personally- are going too over the top and need to take a step back.

tried to find out how many were left when i went down there, they just said quite a few, couldnt get any more out of them than that, i said it was being discussed and they could get a rush if they gave me some figures, quite a few was tghe reply but they said they are putting them on general sale earlier this year as in the past people with entitlement leave it to last min cos they can get theirs.
i was tempted to offer below the asking price as it seems to be club policy.:D
