FOX Sports on MSN - Premier League - Arteta not for sale, insists Moyes

Everton manager David Moyes has rubbished suggestions that the club will cash in on star midfielder Mikel Arteta during the transfer window.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Spanish star as they try to fill the gap created by captain Cesc Fabregas' injury lay-off.
But Moyes insists he does not want to sell off his star names and said: "I have no intentions of selling anybody. Definitely not. Why not? Because there's nobody I'd like to sell.
"We read today that Arsenal don't have any money to spend in January. So it depends on what you read, and who things are written by."
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has also distanced himself from reports linking him with Arteta and said: "Mikel Arteta is a very good player but we have not made any enquiry about him at all."

With thread titles like that, I could be a journalist.

"No intentions of selling anybody..." - the only thing that would put all this specualtion to bed is "we definitely wont be selling anyone this transfer window". Anything short of that will keep the issue alive.

From reading on the web all the Arsenal fans like old Mickey loads and want him at their club being Zenit want [Poor language removed] loads for Arshavin.

They'll get Arshavin IMO being that its confirmed they're negotiating, they just playing hard to get. The price they want is what ruined his chance to move to Madrid and Barca in the summer so they'll negotiate I think.

We wont sell anyone this month, there would be no point. Why spend the Arteta money on a striker if no one will be there to create chances for him?

I had an idea Baines could leave but he's come in and been playing superbly so I cant see that happening. Everyone else is 1st team hands-off being how thin the squad is.

Its also funny to see the rumours about Lescott etc arent popping up anymore after Moyes said no one is for sale.

Behave yourself. If someone bid £35m for Tony Hibbert, we would sell him. Wouldn't we?

So thats nonsense.

You're making my point for me: 'No intentions' are the key words of Moyes statement. Just as 'we dont need to sell' were the key words from Kenwright. You cant stamp out transfer specualtion with language like that, and so any journalist who comes along and attempts to create a story is encouraged by it and you cant really be too critical of them.

Kenwright is manager now?

If moyes told kenwright he is looking to offload is kenwright to stand in the way?

As for journos spinning lies, they dont need encouragement, its their job.

but dont let that stop you being ''too critical'' of kenwright.

jan 8th. still no one sold. clock is ticking.

The clock is ticking? I think you should read my words (that you've embarrassed yourself by using as your signature) a little more closely.

My own stalker...I dont know whether to feel flattered or concerned.

Kenwright is just echoing the views of the manager.

you can make your apology to Bill Kenwright as soon as you like. you are responsible for your constant sniping, accusations and lies about the man. be a man and face up to it.

Ludicrous. Every post get's more embarrassing than the last. 'Slight Return'...does that refer to your partial recovery from a mental breakdown by any chance? I really am trying to understand.
