Sausages.....

Now I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to sausages (that's snaaaaaags for any aussies on here called Murray or suchlike), I likes my sausages to be of the plain pork variety*, I don't mind Irish recipe although I'm not entirely sure what they add to them (Guinness and spuds at a guess) but I don't fancy any of these far out things that people have mentioned.
All these fancy tomato, chicken or parsley and leek just really don't do it for me.

*disclaimer You may find me partaking in lamb and mint at a bbq but certainly not on a breakfast, or sausage and mash with onion gravy.

so, which unusual ones have you tried ?

Wild boar and apple - the nicest sausages I've ever tasted from an award winning sausage van at leeds fest!

I used to know the guy that made Yates Greer sausage and he started his own sausage company up and was asking for ideas. I suggested a festive Turkey, stuffing and cranberry recipe.

He made it too. It was fecking awful.

Venison sausages are pretty ace though a bit dry.

I've gone off going in my butchers now as whenever I go in he's pulling bits of flesh of a pigs head to make his sausages. They're just full of 'lips and arseholes' as some old person told me once.
