Weather Watch

With amber warnings of heavy snow in the north west from 6am onwards Sunday here - they must be fairly confident it will happen although they've been wrong plenty of times before

With health and safety usually taken to extremes these days, the Manchester derby is the one probably more in doubt (but just possibly our one too)

Although I noticed some light snow while at work (in Chester) today - Manchester has its own microclimate and is a powerful magnet for bad weather, usually it rains at best.

We haven't had snow for a few years for much of Merseyside despite weather warnings every year, East Lancs nearer the Pennines, Manchester and the moors surrounding it normally get it all

I wouldn't mind it being off as Sam has only been here two minutes not two months. However Anfield hasn't had a snowed off fixture since 2010 so it must be highly unlikely despite these amber warnings. I read they're really meant to be more specific to the greater Manchester area but cover a wider area just for the weather forcasters to cover themselves and claim they're right even if off target slightly.
Manchester has its own microclimate?

How do you work that out Fred.

Tbf it'd be great if this was postponed. We're missing loads of key players and even if it was just pushed back until January that'd give us Bolasie and Coleman back fit.

Can’t stand their arrogance and how they put themselves in the same bracket as City...

Us rolling over in this fixture has enabled this. Play the game, actually play it and put them under pressure.

Our Icelandic prince will be more than used to the snow and cold weather...

I know safety is important but this "it's not the pich, it's the surrounding areas" thing seems like something that has only crept in over recent years.
It used to be if the pich is fine then that's all that matters.

Unfortunately, I think this is down to the modern day world were people put claims in left, right and centre if they suffer a minor slip and nothing is wrong with them.
