A tree is down near to Greebank Park covering the road, and a tree has come down on the Ormskirk/Kirkby line. There will be a lot more.

We are all obviously disappointed, but it's a prudent decision. Would I want my young son out in this, walking to the game? Not one bit.

This one at Greenbank Park I think.

I'm in two minds about this postponement.

Yes it's windy and yes if you are traveling to the game there maybe an increased risk of danger but let's keep this in perspective.

It is for the individual to decide if they want to take that risk or not.

Are the shops in town closed to prevent people doing Christmas shopping? Aren't those shoppers at increased risk?

I'm sorry but this decision has got the RS fingerprints all over it.

Why were they even consulted / involved in the decision? They aren't the home club , surely it's between Everton , the PL and the police.

I'm not saying it's a terrible decision to cancel the game but I'm not convinced that it's the right one and I'd love to know what influence the RS brought to bear ....remember how weak and rudderless Everton are at the moment .

The conditions would have been a real leveller today.

If this was a late kick off, it would be going ahead

But ultimately, the weather has been awful this morning and that’s kiboshed it. Only have to look at the trees falling on the train lines to see it would have been dangerous playing this morning.
