should we risk a slightly weakened team against benfica and save people like cahill and saha for sunday

Cahill needs to play, he needs games in order to get his act into gear. I have not been at all impressed with him this season at club level but seems to do well playing for Australia. We could drop Saha to the bench but fielding a weakened team in a competition we could do well in would be crazy.

good question mate but..

what's the point of qualifying for europe only to put out a weakened team?

moyes will play his strongest team. he always does and i'm happy he does.

I DISAGREE I THINK HE WILL PLAY YAKUBU AND GOSLING RESTING CAHILL IS A MUST AFTER THE PAST 10DAYS OF TRAVELLING AND MAYBE GIVE RODDERS A BREAK

Moyes, like teppic said, will play the strongest line-up available to him. The Yak may well start because the competition for places up-front is healthy. Cahill will almost certainly start, so to will Rodwell. Moyes will not be thinking of the Bolton game on sunday, only the Benfica game.

a weakened team ? we play one every week mate. if we are playing the rezzies then no point turning up imo. get this qualification over with, it's bolton on sunday ffs not ushoited, there'll be harder opposition following other goblet games, so get the points in the bag now.

I don't think Moyes knows what his strongest side is at the moment.

Cahill is certainly a player I'd think about resting, he needs to up his game big time. Especially when you've got Yakubu who is much more of a goal threat.

Correct. Everton haven't had a consistent starting XI all season and Moyes is still playing with the formation. Moyes will undoubetdly play what he thinks is his strongest side - he wants to win everything.

Would love to see Rodwell get a break just because he really could use a quick holiday. Expect to see Billy become a permanent fixture in the lineup - not just because of his point saving goal this weekend but due to his rest and ability to distribute.

I still have a feeling that if Osman and Pienaar are fit Bilyaletdinov will be on the bench. Which is ridiculous really because Osman is a waste of time outwide - I'm a fan of the lad when he's used correctly but he's fast becoming a liability and a waste of space.

The signing of both Heitinga and Neill is also a puzzling one, because Moyes has spent 6 million on Heitinga I get the feeling he's trying to fit him in somewhere. That's a hard thing to do when he's best position is centre back and he's competing with Tony Hibbert - a player Moyes also likes to involve.
