When it's listed like that it's really jarring. It feels like we spent a lot this summer, but we spent not far off half their spend, and from a much smaller base of players to begin with. Out of them all I'd want McAtee and maybe Zinchenko for squad depth.

All that money to end up with Dyche and battling relegation.

If they beat us tomorrow I won't be that surprised, they've been crying it in so much I'm expecting them to be gifted a penalty for absolutely nothing.
The fa (wastrel twits* that they are) gave the fat heroin dealer the green light when they caved to his working palace over.

It was obvious he'd return for some more favourable treatment.

ferguson was putting referee's up on the united tab in top star hotels with all the extras they wanted until the story got out. corruption always looks the same.

They cannot seriously be still complaining about the goal, even after MOTD showed it was clearly Morgan-White who fouled O'Reilly, not the other way around. Bizarre club.
I don't understand the rules anymore. When Cherki had a chance in the first half that he put just over the bar, he was clattered just as he struck the ball, but no pen given as 'he'd got his shot off.' Does that mean a defender could 'punch his lights out with impunity' as long as he waited until the spilt second after he'd taken the shot?

That's always been the rule. Very similar to playing advantage. If the foul affected the ability to play the ball then its a foul/penalty, if not, then they've not been disadvantaged by a foul.

Well, every day's a school day i suppose. It just feels that the offender should be punished somehow, even if it's not a free kick..........if it was a deliberate foul, of course.

If it was a foul worthy of a caution that wasnt brought back, then the caution is given at the next break in play. In this case though it may seem odd that a player could be given a yellow card for a tackle that isn't given as a penalty, but thems the rules. Otherwise, its play on.
