Basically, the whole setup and club is in a mess and there's no quick fix.

It needs to be. We are not out of the mire yet and based on Sam's approach to away matches I can only see us collecting 3pts (Home to Brighton) from the next 4 games. Depressing but that seems to be the best we can hope for. Crawling to 40pts. Shocking for a club like Everton and it's not even like we can blame not having any dosh.
