But people said that they'd saw him perform these miracles themselves, not that they'd heard that he'd done it.

People also said that if women floated they were witches.

There is no difference between the bible and a comic book. The world has evolved so much yet religion still holds some people back

Most of the accepted gospels were written before Jesus, they were traditions that were finally written down after being carried around the middle east like folk tales, the overwhelming history of Judaism was picked up from elsewhere, the Jews being nomadic firstly, and then into captivity, for that many years they adopted local stories and faith tales for protection and they stuck.
The captivity years brought about the development of a messianic belief, they even adopted the Isis/Osiris myth to create jesus, monotheism also being adopted from Ahkenaten in Egypt.

When the Nag Hamadi scrolls were deciphered more gospels were revealed, including the gospel of Jesus and the gospel of Mary Magdelene, all available online iirc, which shows that more relevant material was omitted from the story of 'Jesus' than included.

Jesus may well have existed in the Essene community, but he would be no higher than a rabbi, no messiah, but a problem for the Jewish hierarchy and as a consequence, the Roman authority, so they dealt with his legend in a controllable way.

Theoretically...:)

I have read that the Essene people actually got Jesus down from the cross whilst he was still alive and treated his wounds , this is were the resurrection allegedly comes from
Like you say , theoretically
