so...should we start playing him in central defence so we concede no goals? sell him for 100 million or swap him for messi?

I hope he starts at center half tonight and bosses the game from the back. It's a waste for both club and player that he's never played in his best position, especially during a time when we've seen our defence slip from the watertight standards it set during the Yobo-Jagielka-Lescott era. I like Distin a lot but we're really missing a trick not playing Heitinga at the back. When he leaves for Bayern and wins the CL there we'll look back on him like a Materazzi-esque missed opportunity.

He is a bit of a snide though like, can't be denied.
