We are the 9th best PremierLeague team ever : official.

Just saw this on the skysports website, we have lost more PremierLeague games than any other team.

Unbelivable. I know we were [Poor language removed] for most of it till a few years ago but thats still quite shocking. Bet if they split it up 1992-2000 and 2001-2008 they would be a lot different.

Obviously a lot of it is to do with the fact we have been there every season, one of only 7 teams to do so. All the other [Poor language removed] teams usually got relegated!

Ah well, at least it looks like Spurs will be overtaking us this season :)

Everton 248
Tottenham 243
Southampton 219
West Ham 212
Middlesbrough 211
Aston Villa 207
Newcastle 195
Man City 191
Blackburn 189
Liverpool 158

We might have lost the most games, but out of all the others in the list, i would only swap places with the RS in terms of overall league finishes.

But as you say all the really bad teams go down.

Especially considering how awesome we have been for the last 5 years!

Still we are still the PremierLeague/Division 1's most succesful side considering we have spent more seasons in it than anyone else.

I wouldn't say finishing 17th and 11th is anything 'awesome'.

Those stats are meaningless as they don't take into account the fact that only four of them (US, RS, Villa and Spurs) have been in the EPL for its entire 17 1/2 seasons.
Averaging the number of lost games over the number of seasons played would give something a little more meaningful. And puts us ahead of City, WH and Southampton.
But even that isn't representative as it arguably penalises those teams that play open attacking football instead of stalemating for a bore draw.
The best measure of the worst team would be the one with the lowest average number of points over the seasons spent in the EPL.

Can't be arsed working that out. But if we restrict it to teams that have spent more than 3 seasons in the EPL I'd be prepared to bet on Coventry having the worst record.

you can construct charts with figures to make most things like brill or cack,
no team has spent more seasons in their countries top division worldwide than Everton Football Club.

taking a seasons/winning it approach is an entirely different picture.
