Mancs showing more class.

We all know already about his £90,000 per week from Manchester United. Now add: £760,000 twice a year for image rights. £1m a year from Nike for advertising. £118,689 every six months from computer game makers EA Sports. £3.55m for twelve books (yes: that's books. Twelve of them). And a piddling £600,000 from Coca Cola for a four year deal.

12 books a year? That's a lot of reading for someone of his intellect though to be fair. He'll hardly have time to play football....

So many Wayne Rooney threads, I didn't know which one to pick to ask this question in. I just went for the biggest one...

Was having a discussion the other night with a fellow Evertonian about the quality that's currently in our team and with Barkley heading out on loan etc.

Question that was raised from this, with our current team... would a 16 year old Wayne Rooney have managed to break in? Or do you think he would've been sent out on loan like Barkley?

Rooney was a man at 16, Barkley had a career threatening injury and IMO nowhere near Rooney at16, he would have played a part in any team. Possibly better then than he is now! Too much has been coached out of him.

Just thought I'd comment and have a little laugh.
Its funny the banter we gave Wayne but at the end of the day, We were struggling at the time with financial issues and even in the league (as far as I can remember).

Wayne knew he was too good for us and then when he was 17, MANCHESTER UNITED came in for him obviously doubling his wages.

So your telling me if United came in for you and doubled your wages, you wouldn't go?
Only team I wouldn't go to is the RS

I think we should all just lay of him but this post won't change any of your opinions probably

We have, I think. He hardly gets any abuse when he comes to Goodison these days. Obviously he gets the odd [Poor language removed] sign and 'whayyy' when he misses a shot but it's not Suarez level.

True.

I myself never gave him stick for leaving, obviously I was upset but I know the reasons why.

Proper football teams are like Blackpool who pay the whole team 15k P/W
Nowadays, If you get bought by Rich cu*ts, they wont mind wasting their money and you wil win the league.
