Water Flosser

I’ve got one and I should use it more often. I spent a fortune on implants and go to the dentist every 3 months so he can clean round my gozzy teeth rather than a hygienist. I was talking to him this week, apparently plaque is gelatinous in nature so if you can get it with a water flosser/ pick before it calcifies after 24 hours then all the better.

It was a last resort for me mate, I had bridges and crowns across the upper front teeth and the roots became infected again after about 20 years. Basically the implants are like anchors, I had the natural stumps removed, the implants are screwed into the upper jaw and then metallic stumps are screwed in and a new bridge attached. In my case a 5 tooth bridge attached to 3 implants.£9k but worth every penny to me, I don’t feel embarrassed with the state of my mouth and hopefully no dentures, I’m 60 next summer and I don’t feel it’s a vanity thing more contributing to good general health.

Depends on the teeth you have. If they're close set they do nothing and you'll need traditional floss.

It's meant to be for gum health more than to get out bits of stuck steak that have jammed themselves in higher up. That said I don't think I have had to use floss after using it first (obviously different ones may have different results, but my Philips one set to two blasts seems sufficient) and my bottom teeth are what you'd term close set. You are aiming for the gap between the teeth at the gumline so you would need to have very peculiar alignment for it not to be able to do its job.
