88 minutes: A Utd shot goes out hits the hoardings and comes back to Nev who promptly and slyly punches it back over into the no man's area to waste another 15-20 seconds. It really is all in the top 2 inches.

What was that game where he was booked for time-wasting - I think it was against forest in the cup, and I think it led to a goal - don't remember the details other than it being bad. Nev was furious as he probably was slow-playing things a bit, but it was unusual for a ref to call him on it in those days.

Away to Forest it was. Didn't he get penalised for keeping the ball for too long, and they scored from the set piece? My memory isn't what it was.

He was good. In fact he was very good. Indeed he was good in an era when being very good meant you were very good, unlike today when you have to be super good to be good or last year when you had to be phenomenal to be average.

In the mid 80's I was around 13 years old an attended every home game. I'd arrive in the Lower Gwladys at 2pm just to watch Neville warm up with Sharpy. I never did that for any player before or since.

I've seen that about 10, 000 times and I've watched it again and it's simply majestic. Saves in there that shouldn't be possible.

It's not that great to be honest, some of the animators need to find a new job (see below pic) but £10 for a piece of limited edition Nev can't be all bad.
