Also, sounds like Walsh made some good proposals, but got overruled:

Now, maybe it is sour grapes, but I also think it is easier for the club to blame Walsh for all the bad signings. Lets not forget, Moshiri is a showman who likes 'statement signings.' Seems quite likely he would rather spend big and enjoy the razzmatazz than look into lower league signings.
