Honestly, usually a fair comment, however, for a year and a half Myko was comfortably the worst LB in the league, with little signs of persistent improvement.

He's been very good this year. Biggest difference i've noticed is he no longer looks back as soon as he gets the ball, either brings it forward or passes it on - used to annoy me no end how he'd always play it backwards or sideways when he got it.

I’d say a strong Leighton Ba

I'd say on the defensive side he's a Leighton, and the offensive he's a Baines. Somewhere between Pat Van Den Hauwe & Cuco Martina.

But thats not a slight at all, Baines was 1 of the best fullbacks in the league.

I’d say Myko is a better defender, baines wasn’t a bad defender, he’s was good, but he was world class going the other way

Can agree with this 100%.

Baines always gave his man too much space and allowed the cross to come in.

He was of course a brilliant crosser of the ball and set piece specialist, his attacking play helped with superb chemistry between him and Pienaar.

As much of an Everton legend as you can be without having won anything.

Mykolenko looks solid at the back, really gets stuck in and seems to be coming into his own this season.

Still for me below average in an attacking sense, but he'll do for now and the next few years definitely seeing as we won't be in any position to challenge for a European spot via the league any time soon.

Hes been absolutely brilliant lately. His confidence is growing and he's showing that he can actually play.

Nah, expecting players to be able to control a ball is not expecting too much.

Hes massively improved. He was woeful for the first year he was here.

He was only 22 when he joined, amazed that some had him written off after half a season or so, playing for a team that was largely crap.
