Villa fans are comfortably in the CL places for delusions of grandeur. Only the Geordies and Barrigan's firm can compete.

Don't think Mat Damon would accept the job if offered,he doesn't fit their criteria as mad as he is, even he isn't deranged enough to fill the villa park hotseat.

The post was supposed to be kind of sarcastic IMO. Villa fans are OK and the VillaTalk MB is decent and rarely do I read any delusional posts. After suffering through the McLeish era (I know it was one season but it must have felt like 10) they probably deserve a decent manager. Villa are probably the club most similar to us as both teams are clubs who just rich enough to stay in the prem and yet lack the finances to compete with the top 4.

Yea but they had Milner and Downing money. Lerner figured out that he would probably have to spend another 100M to get into the C-league and didn't have that kind of money. He's tightened the purse strings there and wants to at least break even. They are in the same boat as us.
