Video - Huge Plan Crash in Kabul

Everytime I fly I prepare myself to die. I absolutely ****ing hate it. During take off when your climbing, and you get that sudden drop and sinking feeling, THAT is the moment I think I'm going to die.

Same here mate.

Looks to me like it stalled out while climbing and couldn't get anymore lift. The first thing I thought of was a load shift and who knows, if that's what it was, how it happened.

One of the crew was the loadmaster who was responsible for that job. You hope that wasn't what it was but I'm confident we'll find out through black box recovery information.

I used to be a nervous flyer but now that I fly more these days, I'm used to it. Plus, I'm a huge commercial aviation nut (translated, I love airplanes)

Just remember that your odds of going down in a plane crash are slim to none.

...and then I think it was Benny Hill who said that "Your odds of being on a plane with a bomb on board are about one million to one and your odds of being on a plane with two bombs on board are about one billion to one so cut your odds and bring a bomb."

I love flying, cool as a cucumber during take off & landing.

It still amazes me though how we can get gigantic f*cking chunks of metal with 200 people on board to fly through the air, so seeing it sort've backfire gives me the willies.

We all tried doing that on San Andreas, though.

Exactly the same mate.

Taking off is the worst.

Landing is fine. You're going down anyway. But taking off sh*ts me up everytime.

Yup landing is sound, and also when I'm up in the air and everythings flat (except turbulance ffs) I don't mind it when I've settled down, but take off. My god.

All of the above. Was literally talking to my mate yesterday about how amazeballs (:p) planes are, but I hate takeoff. I always try and keep my eyes on the crew. Long as they're still smiling I reclon your ok. If they start looking worried, panic!

I did some design work for that Air Force base in Afghanistan (Bagram) last year, and my company has had a team on the ground there for about 3.5 years.

Before it was reported it was a cargo plane, we all assumed the worst. Everyone okay and accounted for!
