Victor Valdes is a free agent. worth getting in for a couple of years to give Howard some competition, and to allow Joel to get a year or two on loan?

No bitterness here at all, but I honestly felt he was the weak link for Barcelona for his entire time there. He actually felt about on par with Howard in terms of being a liability on occasion, so not sure he'd solve anything for us. Or indeed for Liverpool, as I think Mignolet is potentially the better 'keeper if they keep patient with him.
