Victor Anichebe

I hate him. I honestly believe we'd have to pay somebody to take him off us.. And if the price is right, I'd be fine with that.

The sad thing is he will leave us go to a mid table Championship side and become a prolific goal scorer - probably knock us out of a cup competition and score against us everytime we meet......
Presently tho he's just not good enough for us.

*sniff

Sort of reminds you what he was capable of, when he tries to stay on his feet. He has become a very poor man's Heskey!!!!!!

This seasons Anichebe has been the worst player I've ever seen turn out for Everton over a season.

Overall, not the worst ever, but not one single player in my lifetime has had more of an abject season than him. He needs to be sold - on a free if necessary.

He must be Drogba in training. I can't see how he'd get near the team otherwise.

I've heard Moyes say that he puts players in the team when they've been really good in training.

I hate that philosophy though. It's a completely different situation being in a real game, for starters. And apparently Hibbert scores all the time in training, but that doesn't exactly transcend to the pitch, does it!?

Fact is, Anichebe has been utterly woeful up top. Last season he looked ace at RM for that short period, but now we have better options there. Sell him. Shoot him. Whatever we have to do to get rid of him.

I think thats just an excuse for putting the players in the team that he wants regardless of form or position because how can anyone argue against it when we don't see what happens in training.

Bit like Saha was awesome in training first few months of the season.

I gave Saha a ton of stick at the start of the season, to be honest, but I take it all back. He was being played in a 4-5-1 and it clearly wasn't working. As soon as Moyes partnered him with Beckford they scored bags of goals between them.

Good job Moyes has a sharp mind, and is quick to change things, though. If not Saha might not have scored for like 11 months, or something crazy. Oh hang on....

I think he was given a new contract to stop us losing him on a free and get a couple of million if anyone came in for him. The horrible thing is though, I dont think anyone will want him and we are now stuck paying him about £1.6mill a year for nothing.

We probably should have just let him run down his contract.

Anichebe is ruining Everton for me. I don't enjoy watching us play when he's on the pitch. I would love for him to not play for Everton anymore. I don't think he needs more chances. He isn't a kid. I may disagree with some Moyes decisions but I see his logic in making those decisions every single time. Aside from this time. I don't get it -- he looks like a non-league player who won some kind of contest to play a game in the Prem. Although that said I think if you won a contest to play in the Prem you'd probably not want to fall over all the time and embarrass yourself.

Beckford's strike rate for time played is still pretty good. The Greek kid has shown promise. Why is Vic playing?

Appearances - 91
Goals - 7

Contract length - 5 years, if he continues at the current rate, we can expect a goal a season.
