Victor Anichebe and Seamus Coleman have signed new contracts at Everton.
Both players have penned four-and-a-half year deals, keeping them at the Club until 2015.

Coleman, 22, has been one of this season's success stories, becoming a regular in the Blues' midfield and weighing in with five goals.

Academy product Anichebe, also 22, is back in the first team fray after recovering from a knee injury he suffered in pre-season.

He started the 2-2 draw against Liverpool at the weekend and was instrumental in setting up the second Everton goal for Jermaine Beckford.
His new contract ends speculation linking him with a move away from the Everton, with his previous contract set to expire in the summer.

Coleman signed a new contract in May last year but his progress this term has been impressive enough to see him handed a new deal.

He has made 22 appearances this term, while Anichebe has three starts and three substitute appearances.

Nice to see a bit of loyalty to the club and i am sure they can both become major players for us.. Thanks lads and now lets bring in some more quality to compliment them.

Coleman signed up (on top of being signed up to a new contract about six months ago).

I think we can safely say that Coleman is signed up.

Well done Mr Elstone and Mr Kenwright. That makes up for everything.

What's wrong Dave, come on - tell us.

Nothing wrong, how could it be? We've just re-signed the recently re-signed Coleman.

Now we turn our attention to capturing Lionel Messi.

You'd only moan if the contract wasn't signed or extended. It's even longer, which proves they're learning from the past now.

Oh yeah, that is sensible. I'd hardly give it the flashing neon lights treatment it's getting on the OS front page though: 'BLUES SECURE DOUBLE CONTRACT BOOST'. At a time when they've just shipped out two senior squad players and we're all wondering where the next real signing is coming from it's coming across as a bit of a wind up, tbh.
