Very sickening to think....

Moyes said we won one trophy in the 10 years before he came to the club. Shows he doesn't know his history.

Why did he pick "the ten years before he came"?

Oh, I know.

That suits the Moyes spin the EFC were nowt before he came.

Why didn't he pick the "twenty years" before he came and tell us how many trophies Everton had won?

And even going back over the ten years before he came, Everton still won more than they won under him.

The more this long goodbye continues the more relief I feel that we are soon to be shot of this guy who has redefined the term "self serving".

Yes, we won that one FA Cup. And it was a great day that I'll always remember.

But personally, I've preferred the best part of a decade competing at the right end of the table for European qualification, and watching quality players in royal blue, rather than a decade of being **** scared we were going to get relegated more or less every season, interspersed with one amazing day out, and watching Mitch Ward, Tony Thomas and Gareth Farrelly.

And as for it being "very sickening to think..." I couldn't disagree more. I hope he wins fkn everything (assuming of course that we can't win a given competition that year). What would be much worse would be for him to leave, with all the upheaval and uncertainty it's going to cause us, only to fail and be sacked inside 12 months.

You talk as if the two are mutually exclusive.

As if it is either win a Cup and struggle at the bottom .....or bob along in no man's land on the middle reaches of the top half of the table but a furlong behind the teams at the business end of things.

Why could that not have been us playing Citeh at Wembley yesterday as well as coming close to a CL place this season, or even clinching one as looked likely before the slump which started in mid January?

No good reason at all......in fact there is not even a bad reason.

Moyes was a decent manager......but he is no guru and he is no Fergie.

As I believe United fans will find out over the next year or two.

Let's be honest lads, **** going back to the 90's and having to rely on a Gareth Farrelly wonderstrike to save us from relegation.

Let's be sensible here. Moyes has done ace for us. As much as I've fumed at him recently and thought I was ready for change, I'm really not. I suppose its coz I didn't really think the day would come.

Your first instincts were correcr, NIK.

This club has been crying out for change for years.

Now it is here embrace it.

Did you see little Wigan at Wembley yesterday?

Compare the fire in their bellies and the attacking intent with the three play by the numbers performances Moyes inspired on our three trips there.

Give it a year or two and you'll wonder why Kenwright persevered do long with the one trick pony that is Moyes.

...I'll be content if Man Utd win the Charity Shield, Champions League and Premiership next season. My main concern, however, is that we get the right man in place and at least maintain the status quo.

Best comment in the thread. Thanks Eggs. Wish I could rep this.
