I suffer from this from time to time, including this morning...anyone else get this? Got any good remedies?

Actual imbalance issues or a wobble in high places?

I suffer terribly from the latter, the only remedy I found however was not to go to high places.

Meep. That's not good. No idea about sorting it out I'm afraid, my medical knowledge is based purely on watching House and ER (and Casualty)
Have you seen a doctor about it?

It only happens a few times a year, but when it does...PHWOAR.

my mum had it about a year ago caused by labyrinthitis, the doc gave her cyclizine, which is an antihystamine with anti-emetic benefits - it works by helping to balance the middle ear, might be worth a crack. Deffo see a GP though (you can only get it on perscription anyway)

I've got labyrinthitis at the moment for the second time. My doctor said there wasn't anything he could do- I'd have to wait it out. Took a few months the first time. It's a problem only when I'm doing stuff like fixing ceiling lights (been doing a lot of work on my house recently)- if I forget and look up suddenly, my vision goes weird. It's like that room spinning thing when you're really pissed.

I suffer from it all the ****ing time. I'm terrible with heights aswell but the main thing that makes me **** a brick is being on the ground and looking up at a tall building, or being inside somewhere with a really high ceiling such as a cathedral. I turn into an absolute mess.

NIK mate that's not vertigo. I get what you have (being on ground level and lookin up, freaks me out) its a normal human reaction. Vertigo isn't heights, it's general unexplained dizziness. Stemetil can be prescribed for it.
