A student has been found guilty of attacking two female police officers during a large violent disturbance at Manchester Airport.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, was charged with assaulting the Greater Manchester Police officers during the fracas on 23 July last year, with mobile phone footage of the incident being widely shared on social media.

Following a three-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court, Amaaz was convicted of assaulting PC Lydia Ward, causing actual bodily harm, and the assault of emergency worker PC Ellie Cook.

After 10 hours of deliberating, the jury was unable to reach verdicts on allegations that Amaaz and his brother, Muhammad Amaad, 26, assaulted PC Zachary Marsden causing actual bodily harm.

Ten hours of deliberation! 🙄

I wonder what the jury's reason for not being able to find judgement re the officer with the kicking skills.

Seems at least one of the two brothers has been found guilty of attacking someone at a coffeeshop further inside the airport. [edit; just seen it, headbutts and punches some older white guy, should be guilty of using his head as a deadly weapon]

How were authorities not able to do some arresting there? And why have we still not had the confrontation re the mother and the assaulted person at the coffeeshop? And why have the injuries to the mother been overlooked?

Once upon a time height requirements were required for joining the pigs scum popo, but were eventually deemed discriminatory.

We'd all like to live in a perfect world, where authority could be trusted, where there was no violence, and we all obeyed the law. It'd be wonderful.

No complaints about them being found guilty. They're both knobheads.

Excuse that the kick to the head was to "stun", and that the stamp "near" the head was to gain control of his radio because it was hanging down is quite frankly laughable.

Fortunately, because we're mostly all armed with camera phones, the uniforms will go to far on the street and kill someone, and then very unfortunately we'll face another deadly Brixton riots.

This bullspit where they're allowed to resign before being dismissed sucks btw.

Policing by consent doesn't mean breaking the law to enforce it. This is a very obvious and simple requirement. Rules for thee...

If his barrister hasnt shown the court that video about 600 times I’ll be shocked .

Courts and trials are ultimately a popularity contest and the jury want to like someone . Given the verdict I suspect it wasn’t that copper

I believe patriot Tommy is on the run again … not sure why though
apparently he's on camera pacing up and down a train station near a body lay unconscious on the floor, he's hot footed it abroad, again.

why can football hooligans be prevented from going the match, travelling to aways, and have their passports confiscated, yet this joker can continually flout the law?
