Love planet/space stuff. Dont understand it though. Anyway, for those of in the Northern Hemisphere, if it is not too cloudy, pop outside, look up, as if you are looking towards France, and you will see two bright objects in the night sky. On the right, is Venus, and next to it, is Jupiter. Hardly ever happens, apparently.

Mindblowing!

this is a picture taken by a friend of mine at a place called Rhoscolyn near where I live,,,, he has written underneath it that in the sky you can see Neptune and Jupiter........probably means Venus then i suppose.....

that was taken on 7th March.

as an aside , and just to show my weirdness,, i have an obsession with old churches for some reason. In the town I live is a very old church which is walled in and was built by the Romans (i think). Rumour has it there is a secret tunnelway under the church as it was an escape route for the townsfolk who locked themselves in the church for safety from attacks from foreigners. The church in the picture is interesting as i reckon there is an underground crypt in it.

and oh my god i waffle like a kopite.

East?? Seeing as France is East (well, south and east) of Blighty.

Kind of, but using looking toward the north pole as true north, it is actually more westish than you would think, in much the same way that parts of southern engalnd are more east of scottish cities than you would think.

Will they still be visible tomorrow? Still cloudy here. In fact I think I'll watch Venus and Jupiter all night, so I don't have to go through the pain of watching us v Leeibwpuool.
