Brennan,Iagree with you a lot of the time, but I think that you totally wrong about Jags not being fast.

I think it depends on what you class as being fast or pacey mate.

Distin is in that top class of centre backs in terms of speed where you'd be confident in him chasing down most attackers even if they get the jump on him. Jags is no slouch but he's not up there in terms of speed. Forren is then down another level and is actually 'slow'.

From what i've heard Forren is badly Mertesacker.

Forren hasn't played since November and is dangerously unfit. Will be a decent centre half for Southampton but nothing more probably

Another great example of why not to fume when the likes of Southampton/Fulham/Swansea sign players that were linked with

Strange deal.

I was reading that he was told he was gonna play this Season.

lolz at Forren.

Not sure of the exact timings, but wonder if this was a deal done for Adkins and now having seen him Pochettino just doesn't fancy him or think he's up to it. There was always a concern that he would struggle with the pace of the Prem.

It goes to show though - players not always as good as the media would make us believe. I guess all transfers have an element of risk like this and the Bony to Swansea, Wolfswinkel and potential Fer to Norwich ones are other interesting ones to watch.

Not sure about Wolfswinkel or Fer, but I feel confident about Wilfried Bony at Swansea. He is a super talent and I can't see him doing anything but flourish in that Swansea side under Laudrup. He will take the premier league by storm.. I'd wager he'll score 15-20 goals in the league this season.

Pretty telling that the red ****e would only offer the lad a trial. Weird situation either way but thank **** we dodged that bullet.
