Vdv For Arteta?

Amazed and apologetic?

Why would I feel the need to apologise for a hunch based on experience if it failed to materialize? I'd just be relieved he didn't revert to form for once.

Oh, and by the way, quoting my words in your signature: this stalking simply has to stop. I'm cringeing for you.

Dear me.

 boring boring boring, i suppose he should come out and say players are for sale, off course he has to say players are not for sale but also lets not be naive enough to think that evey player does not have his price. Also Davek humour please write a thread on just why bill has been nothing but bad news for everton
Whilst rumours have a 'source', it's a bit difficult to link it to the point of origin. And whilst i dont believe everything I read, I do weigh up what's being claimed against past experience: Everton chairman says 'player x is not for sale' > player x is sold.

We'll see. But I'll be utterly amazed if Joleon Lescott is still an Everton player by February 2nd.

Van Der Vaart is pure class, i'd love to have him at Goodison. He was in the same Ajax team as AVDM so we need to get rid of him 1st or he'll have a negative affect on the lad

He doesn't have to do either, to be fair. He's a chairman not the manager. He should just try and keep his tongue from flapping out of that fat head of his.

There isn't enough storage space on t'interweb for a thread of that magnitude.

Just waiting on the window to close... cringe on.

Then you would say the silence from the club is deafening. He can't win either way with you. If someone journalist asks bill the question about the recent speculation surrounding arteta and lescoot and he kept quiet he would murder him. He says they are not for sale, you call him a liar.

Kenwright had no (apparent) need to speak. Who was expecting or pressuring him to? As for journalists asking him to speculate: he gave an interview over three days to evertonfc.com and the poodle-like Liverpool Echo. He wants the information that 'no Everton players are intended to be sold' in this window out there in the public domain, and that there's 'no need' for any such sales.

'We wait and see what transpires.

Are you sure he didnt just give the interview in about an hour and the website editor chopped it up into bits to be broadcast over three days?

If you are sure, exactly how sure are you?

IMO I wouldn't let Arteta leave, period. He loves the club, is improving every game in his new role, and the rest of the team are benefiting from this. Did you see how pleased he was to score the opener vs. Sunderland? We can't replace that level of commitment to the club.
Unfortunately, I believe Lescott's different, as he's appeared uncommitted, or unattentive in a lot of games this season, and if he's not up for it (and providing we can get a striker and CB cover), i'd let him go to City for a solid fee.

Or maybe Lescott's just being going through some bad form? It does happen. There's been nothing wrong with his attitude, workrate or commitment to the team.
