I thought he changed the game abit yesterday.

He gave us some natural width. Everytime Baines or Hibbert got the ball yesterday, they had no one to pass to as everyone was central.

VDM came on and dragged defenders out wide and gave us another option.

He's superb him.

He stays outwide and just waits for the ball, like an old fashioned winger really. Very rare to see that nowadays. Cal's right, we used the width of the pitch more when he came on.

Just to bring Arteta into this, he is better than Alonso. Just thought I'd point that out, I hope Del Bosque was watching. If he doesnt get a call up this season then he never will.

Van Der Meyde, what a legend. God hit in the face by Babel, and Hit in the back of the head by Reina. Both times he didnt feel it - the alcohol still hadnt worn off.

Arteta was connected to everything last night. Every attack - well most attacks. One criticism of him was when he held the ball for too long - when Gosling was making a great run past their defence. If Arteta reacted faster he wouldve been in on Goal.
