Anyone who's been looking on the OS recently will have seen some pictures of the training camp in St Andrews.

I saw a picture of someone training and couldn't work out who it was.

It was only Andy Van Shan, looking vaguely healthy and fit with a proper haircut.

Who knows stranger things have happened at sea. Maybe he's staying, maybe he'll stay off the pop?

If we can't sell him, and he wont walk I suppose Moyes has to give him a shot. No-one seemingly wants to buy him.

Its probably not going to happen but...maybe....just maybe...he can come good.

*crosses everything he can cross*

and sleep ;)

probs more chance of this than Da Silva , Rodwell or JP KIssock stepping up to the first team.

Moyes has trusted the three of them to 8 minutes FT play so far.

It aint happening for these lot, they just aren't good enough except as desperate backups. Maybe for the future of course. The last two could be great.

Leon, bit concerned over your fixation with VDM. Such a fixation is unnatural, do you think you should seek professional advice over this?

My god, do you know how old Jack Rodwell is? JPK is only 17 too.

i know whats going to happen with vdm, last 6 or 12 months of his contract he's going to really make an effort, really show what a flying dutch winger is, class and skill in every pore, and we'll all be screaming for him to resign, but he wont.

and thus, vdm really added insult to injury.

I dont think theres any doubt that hes got ability, and I know everyone slates him for his temperament(sp) but at the end of the day if he really was a complete waste of space he wouldnt still be there.

I believe Moyes wouldnt take his [Poor language removed] and he would be a goner straight away. I think there is more to this than meets the eye. I hope he proves a few people wrong and does a job for us this season.

yes I do. I only mention these names because I read posts, usually from your self, saying these players will make a difference.

sure, in the future. This season - forget it.

We may have to hope that VDM plays this season due to injuries, increased fixtures and the lack of players - and maybe need of rotating players.

If Moyes is only, as he said recently bringing in another couple or so players (looks like we can only afford a couple), we will have to get as many first team players in contention as possible.

That means playing the likes of VDM. Even if he perhaps doesn't deserve to be playing, due to a lack of dedication to the team and training etc.

Well obviously not this season, I have never said that Rodwell was for this season, but he is certainly one for the future, and I would rather see him play that that waste of dutch space!

"VDM again...I'm obsessed" - vdm is an abscess

anyway, the conversation went...

DM 'ok andy, i know you [Poor language removed] hate it here, and i understand your away from your family'
vdm 'yes boss, lifes been hard'
DM ' give us half a season, i'll play you in the uefa and maybe you can drum up a few performances that could get you a move back to italy'
vdm 'ok thanks boss, i'd have rather retired than go to fc twente you know'
DM ' you get a good pre season under your belt and we'll take it from there'
vdm ' my round?'
