VAR

Multi million pound failure
I understand the financial reason it is a flop but the main reason is the referees are not very good on the field and in the studios, in fact they are the same officials and they are either incompetent, biased or to be correct they are corrupt in their judgement and titles and relegation issues can be decided by these very poor referees, are there any good ones you can trust or rely on to be consistent with their decisions, I can’t name any.

But the Spanish and Italian leagues are openly corrupt so how come they don't use VAR for the same corrupt reasons as the Prem?
I am going to go with "money" on this one to be quite honest. Or rather, more money.

Both leagues are corrupt and in a hilarious turn of events don't need VAR to make themselves more corrupt - it's the same for us here in Bulgaria lol

Got to keep up the uefa coefficient. Can’t take a chance on little old Brighton getting into the champions league and being knocked out early. Also got to look after the “big 6”.
the directive from Richard masters and the premier league to Webb and the pgmol will be “you know what you need to do lads” then when you get something as blatant as the Brighton game they’ll tell Webb to issue an apology. Job done, same again next week

Poor Brighton, they had a goal ruled offside at Palace due to them drawing wrong lines aswell, could cost them Europe these awful decisions.

VAR, and the rules, are designed to keep the 'big clubs' at the top as they are a guaranteed source of income for the accountants that run the Premier League/football. That's why rules are subjective - was it clear and obvious, was he affecting play whist offside, was his arm in an unnatural position? The answer to all of these (and more) depend on how the decision will affect whichever of the Sky 6 in playing. The rules (and VAR) should be definite/absolute. It hits your hand or arm (anywhere below the shoulder) and it's handball. Don't care if it was accidental or not, it's handball.........and that applies to everyone!

I hardly watch any PL togger anymore...it's bent to all fornication. Me? I'm starving the beast. I won't participate in a bent and rigged casino.
