I'm confused how it works, Does var not whisper to them that this is a penalty or this is a red the moment its occurred in case the ref didn't see it or not get a good view.

so like this
*penalty comitted
*ref didn't see it
*VAR checks it and confirms its a penalty
*ref awards a penalty
is this not how it's supposed to go?

There have been too many incidents that the VAR people have got so wrong recently its now becoming a joke. That Grealish one is criminal so imagine villa get relegated by 1 point defecit.

This is the tip of the iceberg

Apparently the way it works is that when an incident occurs, the VAR people ask the ref what he saw. If what the ref saw happened, then they keep the decision. But this is a stupid way of doing it, because it just invites errors.

I can imagine it goes more like this:
-Leg breaking challenge occurs
-VAR man - "what did you see ref?"
- Ref - "well there was a bit of contact, but not enough for a pen"
- VAR man "There was indeed contact, the ref has seen it correctly"

Ludicrous way of doing it

Haha.

So...there's still error but not as many errors as their should be.

So some games it'll work well, some won't.

Absolute joke.

The Refs and the VAR are just making things up as they go along blaming each other, not knowing what to say etc or who is to blame,The Leicester one has just added to some Bizzare decisions so far,one of the most clear things you can see and yet they didnt even book him i dont think,it was an ankle breaker.
Wonder will you get that ref watch thing on sky backing the refs as usual saying the ref was right as they usually always do
