I think so too, he would at least make the bench more if it was just a case of fitness. I think its only a matter of time before he leaves. Which is a shame really.

i loved all the summer transfer speculation, with almost every prospective deal the papers would report "everton are offering £.... + Van Der Meyde", we didn't even expect to get any money off him we just kind of threw him in

i guess i'm still in that 5% as well, but dammit i'm really losing patience quickly. maybe he would be a good contribution in the everton squad of 2 years ago, but we've grown so much as a team that he doesn't seem to have anything more to offer. i'd like to think the time we would have applauded an occasional playmaker, even if he lacks pace, is passed, but we'll see what moyes decides to do with him.
