is that phil neville next to bobby charlton?
oh PLEASE dont let this be an anticlimax on wed, ive managed to get a sneaky seat within the Utd end. Would love nothing more to be immersed in Old Trafford discontent!
If Jones, Carrick, RVP, Rafael and Vidic are all out then there's really no reason at all that we can't win.
Nah I dont see it that way mate.
As I mentioned earlier, theres every chance we could see a back 3 a la Everton v Wigan last year which totally outfoxed Moyes.
He could stick McCarthy or Barry on Rooney man-marking, dropping Barkley or Osman a little deeper.
Are we gonna go high pressing, or sit in our own half and look to squeeze the game and counter quickly when we get it?
I reckon you are doing Roberto a injustice if you think he hasnt got an eye on surprising Moyes and his likely 11/style.
I genuinely think Moyes wont change a thing, and it is for Martinez to plan the best way to attack them.
It would surprise me, he didn't change it for the Palaces and Norwiches of the league, it didn't change it for City, Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea games, not sure why he would suddenly change it. He may, it just seems unlikely.
If you've got something that works, why change it when you need to be at your best?
I think, he has, just to a lesser extent.
The Carling Cup saw him make drastic changes didn't it? As i said to a lesser importance, but we have United and Arsenal away next, and there's nothing worse than having tired players going up against two of the best sides in the league. I'm not expecting dramatic changes like! But it wouldn't surprise me if Mirallas And/Or Barkley start on Weds. It is a tough one, because for me Mirallas had a great game against the RS, but then again Deulofeu had a belter impact when he came on against the RS, and tore Stoke a new one. I know Mirallas has been erratic, and I know he threw his toys out the pram when he got subbed off at Palace, maybe that's cause he was ****, but we know he struggles to complete 90 mins usually, so i think he may have been saving him for United....
But only martinez knows what he's gonna do. All i can say is it's really refreshing to have this difficulty in choosing a starting XI
... 0-0He did, sorry I was referring to the league games. He won't suddenly switch formation against United surely though?
I think those changes you mentioned though are almost guaranteed, my response was to not knowing what system will be played and thinking Martinez will change our shape to counter United, just can't see after 13 good games, him suddenly changing it... Could be wrong, just can't see it.
I would guess we are looking at Howard, Oviedo, Distin, Jags, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku. No surprises in it.
Anything other than that would be probably be a surprise, unless like you said Deulofue comes in, I think that is the only likely change, can see Osman making the starting 11 at a push.
Cannot see Martinez changing our setup, and to be honest, Everton>Manchester United at current, so why should we? they should change their shape to stop us rather than the other way around or face a team that scored 7 in 2 games.
edit: Just realized we have both scored 7 in our last two games... this could be busy... 0-0

If all of the above are out then i will be extremely confident we can come away with something.
From what i saw yesterday they have no midfield... Jones CM ? not for me or the Mancs i know.
