Usmanov

took them a while to come up with that excuse though. Let's be fair, USM purchased finch farm a good while back and we've played plenty of games since.

Exactly.

Usmanov doesn't need to officially declare himself part of Everton.

All he really needed to do was relinquish his interest in Arsenal. Which he has.

He can invest and provide capital to Moshiri and via USM.

The best strategy. It stops the price of every transfer we'd want going through the roof.

The most stupid thing the club did was start yelling, "we're in the money."

...the Echo pouring a bit of cold water over the MegaFon adverts at Goodison on Saturday, reporting its part of the same deal that saw USM purchase naming rights for Finch Farm;

Ah this is plausible, because MegaFon really needs the extra help of exposure in it's markets via adverts at Goodison.

Even though the match wasn't broadcast live in Russia or Tajikistan or Uzbekistan.

Okay Phil. Great reporting.

I thought this was known anyway? USM is just a conglomerate.

Indeed and the original anouncement stated exactly this. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo.../evertons-finch-farm-training-ground-12413265

Who knows why USM have decided to start advertising for Megafon at goodison, maybe Megafon is preparing a move into the UK mobile market? Maybe the advertising is geared towards the eastern market? In Russia people don't do the whole sky o BT subscription crap, everything is online and available and streamable live so don't think that if it is not on an official broadcast that it is not of interest to advertisers. I spend a lot of time in Russia, I am able to watch every one of our games live somewhere... and am never alone.

We are getting a hell of a lot of credibility abroad since Moshiri came in and even more so with Silva's performance this season, hopefully Usmanov is planning to move in but I think it makes more sense for him not to commit himself like he did at Arsenal, to stay free and choose where he puts his money.

Arrange deals for zouma, Gomes, ndombele, Lozano, timo werner and some great right back and announce them all on New Year’s Day along with confirmation that uzmanov is officially involved. What a day that’d be!!!!
Throw in Joshua Kimmich - the thought of its proper doing things for me

I've spoken to the big man...

It's on.

..but football clubs are also an ego trip for these owners. I imagine if he’s majorly involved he would at least start to be visible watching our games.
