It's just too public. Usmanov is posturing, He knows he wont be investing in any other English club for sure. It's way too messy and complicated.
Oh, certainly, theres no way a guy you frequently accuse of being into a lot of really messy and complicated things would every be interested in anything that is complicated or messy. Thats just not the typical MO for a guy who made his fortune in complicated and messy things.

If we are to take him at face value that he would only invest if he could make money, there is surely only one way to do this. Buy into Blue Heaven Holding’s and acquire the remaining shares where they have an option.

The shares they bought and have an option on value the club at just £170m. I’d imagine the club is already worth much more than that, with the potential for a much greater increase in value.

Overpaying for sponsoring is just throwing money down the toilet for him. Why would he do that?

Even paying for sponsorship for him is pointless

I can only vouch for his generosity to my Roman Catholic cousin, who worked for him for many years. I think the term that was used for the family was 'leaches' In fact, when JM died they couldn't wait to sell large chunks of the business off. THe stores closed or were sold, likewise the catalogue business etc etc.
The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.

Yep, seems like the Jon Woods selling his shares didnt happen.
They did not want to give Moshiri the majority until the stadium he promised was set in stone, Woods will sell up when Kenwright does and go buy a big Villa or two somewhere, of all the F up's Bill has had his hand in he made sure we would get that new stadium before he relinquished control.

Once the stadium is finalised, Moshiri and Usmanov will be here running the club together, we were always the Plan B, they knew Kroenke would not sell to them but Usmanov had one last throw of the dice offering him 1bn last October.

Read it mate. He has consistently refuted the idea of usmanov even remotely investing in Everton, he did and he back tracked slightly, he then consistently insisted that usmanov would not sell his shares in arsenal, especially not to kronke, he did and now he still holds the view it's not happening. To be honest for all I like his blogs, the reality is he is guessing like the rest of us.
There are some that educated guess better than others, like when he said Usmanov would struggle to sell his shares and he was told Kroenke would buy them in a heartbeat to take Arse into private ownership, The Esk wasn't having any of it, he knew best.

A blind man could see Usmanov and Moshiri were making us their plan B when they decided no longer to bag their heads against a brick wall that is Kroenke at Arse.

The FBI dont give a flying one about Brexit and its effects mate. Usmanov is going to be high on a hit list and the net is closing in on Trump.
Dave, just admit you were wrong, and Usmanov might very well be on the board soon, there's no shame in it, it would be more dignified, it happens to us all, just ask Esk.

Share prices wil sky rocket once planning has been granted and then again when the first spade is in and most likely on completion.

Also prices of commercial property around the stadium will also sky rocket as they did when Arsenal built theirs. I guess peel own everything around there though?

But look at it in this basic way: if you're cap in hand for a large part of the stadium scheme to the public sector, do you get another billionaire (a real one this time) to buy into the club? It makes little sense just from that angle alone.

I feel sorry for those who have swallowed this fantasy hook line and sinker.

That to me just doesn't stand up at all, it really hasn't even much going for it in the way of even a semblance of a true obstacle.

The council are in it because its a good financial investment for them and makes good financial sense, but the idea that such a relatively small investment means they get a say or influence in the boardroom at Everton is ridiculous and just smacks as being spread by ludicrous conspiracy theorists.

The major potential investment and cash Usmanov has at his disposal dwarfs any loans by such an extent it makes the loan look like pennies but even this isn't that relevant.

That's just nonsense.

...he was entangled in Facebook, an American company. That's the connection.

No Dave he wasn't entangled at all, him and Moshiri bought shares relatively early in in the company they subsequently sold those shares years ago for a huge profit, neither was anything more ever than a shareholder
