I bought shares in BT back in the day and didn't expect a place on the board. It was an investment.
His shares would be ideal for some pension fund type investment.

Exactly, there's plenty of investment firms out there who would be interested and who would be happy to sit in the background and allow it to continue to be run the way it has been. Arsenal are a well run club and their share price has been increasing for years so it's a fairly safe bet especially with the new stadium they have.

He has no seat on arsenal's board, and no influence over how the club is run.
Who is going to buy his shares?
Who is going to spend over 500million and have no say in how the club is run.
Kronke won't buy them unless he gets them at a cheap price.

Kronke offered to buy them last year at a premium.
Any big investment company would consider them a safe investment.
The Chinese or Arabs would be interested.
Africa’s richest man Danko ( I think ) has expressed an interest in buying them.
Don’t talk daft

We had this discussion a while ago mate. I'd agree a wealthy Chinese, African or Arab investor could be interested, but unlikely any big investment co or pension fund would, since they have very precise targeted returns to achieve and they can't guarantee the consistency they require when the remaining shares are all held by one person who has control and has so far shown no accountability to anyone, unless they do a devil's deal with Kroenke.

Oops, and Moshiri next?????????

Especially if the Iranian’s don’t stop misbehaving.

With all the world’s current upheavals, I can see the ar$e falling out of football and we’ll end up being owned by somebody like Terry’s Timber, whilst ground sharing with Marine where the only half time beverages available are tea with milk or without. At least it removes the agony of choice.

But Kronke has shown he continually grows the buisness , increased share price and has grown the clubs cash on hand assets
But as you say a devils deal with Kronke could be an option
If the buy for 500 m and sella year later for 550m then it’s a good deal.
Cash deposits are attracting a near zero interest rate on international money markets

When does Usmanov's investment visa run out.

The pro Putin Oligarch moves are starting in the UK,probably from pressure from the State Dept in the USA.

With all the world's current upheavals, escapism from the horrid realities of life will be even more sought after...football will boom. In essence, it's a quintessential example of circle-jerkism
