Oh they are cash rich, sure, but £44m profit is a goalkeeper these days. Bit off topic, but the cash position Arsenal enjoy allows Kronke to leverage debt to finance his other sport clubs in Merica, allegedly.
Basically, their stadium and PL cash enable him to secure debt to finance other stuff. Again, allegedly.

You didnt, I did! I can get why investors want to buy into the PL, but it isnt for a dividend. Unless you are the sole or main owner and can cream off fees and stuff, like Kronke and the Glaziers do. No other share holders get a sniff, other than a hopeful rise in their share price.

When this first came out, esk also said kroenke wouldn’t sell out as it would be adding another challenger into top 6.
Which I disagreed with,saying that kroenke doesn’t seem to care, as Arsenal have gone backwards. And Chelsea, city and Utd to a lesser extent. Have blown Arsenal out the water over the last few years.

Usmanov spent it to 'free' up Moshiri, he gained no influence at Arsenal and a bigger 'liability' by doing so.

It looks as if The Django fella on the other board is quite respected. A lot saying they don't believe it but it's from Django and he's never been wrong before, or others saying it's a massive call from him putting his ITK on the line.
My own reading is they will want it to happen but timing is quite important. I would also say they will be keeping cards very close to chest, especially after the panarama scare. The "money is not object" comment from Moshiri is quite instructive as is the fact we have spent heavily again in January without bringing the same amount back in fees. It's 4 windows now of pretty heavy investment, with it only partially offset with outgoings. If this continue over another 2-3 windows you imagine it's only a matter of time before we begin to move forward, we have so far been unfortunate we have bought a number of players who have yet to live up to their price tag.
My own belief is Usmanov will wait until the stadium stuff has formally agreement to start. There could be a variety of reasons for this, but I probably think his dubious record will want to be kept well away from a project to develop North Liverpool. While we will get approval it will be subjected to checks, and you only need to see the russophobia of our cretin of a PM who would delight in sticking the boot into Everton and the city of Liverpool. Moshiri is a far cleaner face and a far better front guy to begin the project. I would imagine we'd have to be some way into starting it before moves were to happen, so as not to risk them being turned around.
The bit about Manchester United it very telling. It could be a random bit added it, but by all accounts the fella has a decent rep so there's little motive to throw in a random act. I would agree with him, that if Usmanov were to come, all sides, including the biggest and best would become very edgy.
