That's the thing, who is going to spend all that dosh on Usmanov's shares, only too, as you say, literally have no power or say on what goes on.

Don't think everyone would want control. 30% of Arsenal is a big asset to own and can help them out in many other ways. Also the stupidly rich people like to move money around. I could see a pension fund type taking the shares off him.

That’s not even close to being true though. It hasn’t even been 10 years since city were taken over, and they’ve had an excellent infrastructure in place for years.

Surprisingly it was late 2008.

I agree they have had an excellent infrastructure for years but my point was even then there wasn't instant sucess.Their first trophy was the FA cup in 2011 before winning the league in 2012.

Of course now they are in a different stratosphere. ( And not a hint of jealousy!)

It would be amazing if it happened... just because I think that's the only way we'll ever progress and break into the top 4. How likely it is though I'm not so sure. One thing is certain.. it won't go anywhere till the stadium has the green light. I don't see Usmanov investing his fortunes into the club and be happy staying at Goodison.
