I’d have said definitely, then changed it to yes , then to probably, then to maybe ,then to kinda sorta .So he's coming then?
Haven’t reached the NO stage just yet

Aye I read somewhere he’s heavily involved in the sport of Fencing and funds s lot of it and sits on committees etcNope mate, which is why it's the type of project which would attract him, he has had his finger in many a 'new venture' in the past, and by and large has struck gold with them all, his step son has been involved in quite a few property and business developments though funded by dear old dad.
Simply put, he is a weird cookie, he loves sport and gives away a ridiculous amount of money to various foundations, massively into tech companies - whilst being involved hugely in the steel and mining trade, one look mat him can tell you how he likes to have the finger in a lot of pies
But in essence he is someone who sees opportunities and takes them, Liverpool waters is a big one, and it also would give him a much higher international profile which in Russia = a degree of political protection - hence Abramovic and Chelsea in essence
Not to intentionally sound aloof, but I'd presume it may be the profits from a possibly large and iconic development that he could help finance. What would be of interest to him in the Liverpool waters project? Quite a few people have mentioned this, has he been involved with similar projects in the past?

to the tune of about 150m he's stuck into that sport mate, also done a LOT of other massive charity donations - a lot of them involving sport to either fund infrastructure or to help at grass routes level.
a side effect of if he did come Everton EitC would possibly benefit hugely from his largess
Well he owns a major steel and concrete buisness
His mate bought the Liver building with Corestate a major property investment and property management company
All he has to do to make money is provide finance and employ experts to get it up and running and see it to conclusion
There is a lot of money to be made if it’s done right , look at London , Dublin, NYC
all major docklands developments.
The stadium could be the centrepiece and the catalyst for the whole area
Plus the IOM terminal and the new cruise line terminal will all bring buisness and footfall to the area
What concrete business does he own??
The steel company mostly produces pellets, its not in the construction market in the UK.
He could possibly get involved in the project, but the majority of his investments are in mining companies and digital media.
I think people seem to be putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5.
The main people who will be raking it in from the waterfront is Peel Group.
He doesn't own any concrete or construction company at all, yeah he owns companies which could provide certain elements towards the development, but he ain't gonna be building the things, he would be very well positioned though to facilitate other people and companies wishing to be involved.
Peel are one of the biggest land owners/developers in the UK, coupled with the fact that the Olayan Group own 25% of Peel the need for a 3rd party facilitator isn't really required.
Usmanov will not come to Everton
Then simply put why is the development no further on than it was years ago?
At least we be able to bring a pellet gun, instead of a knife to the gunfight. The steel company mostly produces pellets, its not in the construction market in the UK.
